About Us

Harry Venning is an award-winning comedy writer, cartoonist and performer based in Brighton. He’s the creator and writer of Clare in the Community on Radio 4, the 12th series of which has recently been commissioned, making it the longest-running sitcom on the BBC. For twenty one years he has provided the Guardian newspaper with the strip cartoon, Clare in the Community. He may be something of a one-trick pony.

Alison Vernon-Smith was an Executive Producer in BBC Radio comedy and is now a freelance producer and script-editor. She has read literally hundreds of scripts and some of them got developed into programmes actually broadcast on Radio 4. Some of them she produced,  including ‘Bad Salsa’ and ‘Cleaning Up’. Winner of the Chortle Award for Best Radio Comedy two years running and winner of the Rose D’Or for best radio comedy. She would like to have shared some pictures of herself with famous comedians but she never bothered to take any.

 Well,  she has ONE.
